Michael Hawkins
Managing Partner
Making complex technology clear.
Turning understanding into action.
Michael works with organizations navigating decisions across AI, cybersecurity, cloud, communications, and emerging technologies. He helps connect what the technology can do with what the business needs to accomplish.
He takes on new and difficult technology questions, doing the work to understand them, explaining the tradeoffs in plain language, and helping teams build a roadmap they can execute. That includes evaluating options and providers, identifying risks and dependencies, and bringing the right specialists into the work.
Today, much of Michael’s work focuses on where AI can create real business value and what it takes to use it responsibly. He helps organizations understand AI use within their environments and work through the security, governance, infrastructure, data, and cost considerations that shape a practical adoption strategy.
Before co-founding GlobalLinc, Michael served as Director of Solutions Engineering and Product Marketing at BCM One, where he led a national solutions engineering team. Earlier at LincLogix, he helped transform the business during a major technology shift, building and leading practices around SD-WAN, LTE, and related technologies. That work broadened the company’s offerings and established a foundation for bringing emerging technologies to customers alongside traditional solutions.
His cybersecurity roots include serving as a contributing editor to Hacking Exposed Linux, Third Edition, published by McGraw Hill. He has also been a speaker and contributor on technology strategy, security, communications, and emerging technologies.

Tom Harms
Managing Partner
Earning trust. Connecting the right people.
Moving decisions forward.
Tom helps organizations turn business priorities into technology decisions they can act on. He brings the commercial perspective to GlobalLinc’s advisory work, connecting customer requirements, provider capabilities, and the relationships needed to move from evaluation into execution.
He began his career at nexVortex straight out of college and quickly established himself as a leading sales performer. Across more than 13 years with nexVortex and BCM One, his work grew from serving small businesses to supporting global enterprises and Fortune 500 customers. That progression gave him firsthand experience with increasingly complex requirements, buying processes, and service expectations.
Tom built that career around the fundamentals that matter in an advisory relationship: listening carefully, learning the customer’s business, bringing the right resources to the conversation, and following through. His experience working with customers and technology partners helps him navigate supplier relationships and keep commercial discussions connected to the outcome the organization needs.
As a Managing Partner at GlobalLinc, Tom brings that same discipline to an independent advisory model. He works alongside customers to clarify options, evaluate providers, and coordinate the next steps, with attention to both the decision itself and what it will take to carry it through.

A recommendation has to fit how your organization makes decisions, owns technology, and gets work done.
Add to the team you have.
We work alongside internal teams and existing providers, bringing in specialist expertise where the work calls for it.
Keep the next step specific.
A working session, policy, workload review, architecture engagement, or pilot should have a defined question and a useful purpose.
Our commercial model
Understand the advice.
Understand the arrangement.
GlobalLinc generally receives compensation from suppliers selected by our customers through distributor relationships. We explain applicable fees, supplier relationships, and commercial arrangements when defining an engagement.
Scope, responsibilities, and the resources involved should be clear before work begins.
A practical next step
What is the next decision you need to make?
An AI policy, a production workload, a cloud architecture question, or a technology renewal. Start with the priority in front of you.
